Research notes

Bucilla Rug Yarn (Art. 7112), Bluenose Rug Hooker (Art. 7152, "the fastest rug making innovation procurable today"), Bluenose "De Luxe" Hooker (Art. 7005) for extra-long loops, punch needle (7113), rug hook (7003), rug and carving shears, clamps and a standing rug frame. Photographed by Tuft the World at Winterthur, January 2023; the photo is in your Google Drive (private link). The Bluenose hooker is very likely John E. Garrett's "Rug Hooker" patent US1605711 (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, 1926; see that record).
