Research notes

An 8-page London auction catalogue listing 150 lots of carpet in the four loom-woven types of the period: Brussels, Wilton, Venetian and Kidderminster. Microfilm, on-site use only (Schwarzman Building, Art & Architecture Room 300). Why it matters: an early printed trade document naming the loom-woven carpet types as stock-in-trade, about 50 years after Wilton and Kidderminster pile weaving began.
