Research notes

~¥9,900 per 4.5-mat unit. Citation check (Oct 2026, from search results; pages not opened): confirmed in a different source. The verbatim phrase 'オーダーメイド生産からレディメイド生産に変わる転機となり、カーペットの大衆化をもたらす' is on the Japanese Wikipedia / EverybodyWiki Suminoe article. Suminoe's official history paraphrases it ('turning point from order-made to ready-made… spread rapidly to ordinary homes'). Official history also confirms ¥9,900 per 4.5-mat unit and the concept 'a carpet an average section-chief salaryman can buy with his bonus'.
