Research notes

Correction to an earlier citation: author is 大墨 正 (Ōsumi Tadashi), not "Ōsumi Tadao"; it is a two-page conference abstract. Part (1) covers periodisation and may be as useful. Free on J-Stage but blocked to automated fetching; one click in a browser. Citation check (Oct 2026, from search results; pages not opened): confirmed. Existence, author name 大墨 正, subtitle and abstract format are all confirmed (part 1 is vol. 7, part 4 vol. 10, part 5 vol. 11). Content worth noting: Suminoe imported a used narrow machine in 1952 and a broadloom Super Tufter machine in 1957, and Tufton was the first domestic tufted carpet (OCR snippet).
