The 50% tariff took effect 27 Aug 2025 and was cut to 18% in the Feb 2026 India–US deal. Citation check (Oct 2026, from search results; pages not opened): partly confirmed. The quoted Hindi sentence was not found. The 50% US tariff (in force 27 Aug 2025) and the Bhadohi crisis are widely reported (Aaj Tak 27 Aug 2025, ETV Bharat). 46 US buyers is confirmed, but as REGISTERED/expected importers ('आएंगे'), not a count of attendees. The baseline differs: Amar Ujala says the US 'usually' sent ~55 importers, not 80–100. The fair also had ~110 fewer stalls. The tariff was later cut to 18% (Feb 2026 India–US deal), so 'now' is out of date.
