Research notes
CORRECTED title: the Guinness record is for the LARGEST HAND-TUFTED CARPET, not the largest handcrafted carpet. Astana Grand Mosque (Kazakhstan); Hands Carpets / Patodia Contract; about 12,464 m², about 1,000 artisans. Guinness record, made for a mosque in Kazakhstan. Citation check (Oct 2026, from search results; pages not opened): partly confirmed. Aaj Tak 8 Oct 2025 is confirmed. Correction: the record as reported (Aaj Tak URL, Outlook Luxe) is 'LARGEST HAND-TUFTED CARPET', not 'world's largest handcrafted carpet'. The title framing ('the largest handcrafted carpet IS hand-tufted') overstates it; only some exam/content-farm sites say 'handcrafted'. Details: Astana Grand Mosque; made by Hands Carpets / Patodia Contract; ~12,464 m²; ~1,000 artisans. The official GWR page was not found.
