Research notes

By the founder director of IICT Bhadohi. The most likely place a sourced Indian hand-tufting chronology exists. Paywalled (Elsevier/Woodhead). Citation check (Oct 2026, from search results; pages not opened): partly confirmed. Chapter numbers are wrong. Per a ToC listing, ch. 11 is 'Functional finish for value added carpets', and the handmade-carpet chapters are 12 ('Developments in handmade carpets: introduction') and 13 ('...: design and manufacture'). Tufting has its own separate chapter. Goswami is (or was) Director of IICT Bhadohi, but 'founder director' is unconfirmed: IICT was set up by the Ministry of Textiles c. 2001. The book is edited, not single-authored. Source: Advances in Carpet Manufacture, 2nd ed. (ed. K. K. Goswami), Elsevier/Woodhead, 2nd ed. published 15 Sept 2017 (copyright 2018).
